The falling snow

And freezing temperatures,

Do nothing to

Quench the fire burning

In the belly.

A fire ignited

By passion,

Sourced by injustice,

Searing the edges

Of dishonesty.

Transforming fear into

Foolish bravery.

Bravery that yells,

“NO MORE,”

From the rooftops

With no consideration of

Consequence.

A braver angel, thresholder,

Walker of the via media,

None cool the flames.

Logic, profession,

Knowing,

All give way to

The greater good;

Foolish bravery.
