SHINE

Time change is tomorrow,
An hour will be lost.
Nothing compared, at large
To the way our world's been tossed.

The light will last longer.
The seeds will sprout anew,
In each sapling birth
Reminded first of you.

Four months ago this week,
You left us in despair.
We held the hope of healing
Mid word you took to air.

One moment spring's excitment,
Fills my heart with glee,
The next my body seizes,
Why aren't you here with me?

Pocket sister makes no sense
To those who do not know,
I'd put you in my pocket,
And away with me you'd go.

Your life a living lesson,
Of a woman most resilient.
Now you are a star above,
The one that shines most brilliant.

My brain cannot fathom,
Your body gone from sight,
Yet in the night sky there you shine
Still bringing forth your light.
